After five years of having a strong attachment to my long locks, I cut my hair short! Why did I do this, you ask? Well, those who know me know that I don’t want to lose a bet and after much peer pressure and disbelief that I would actually cut my hair, I decided to prove everyone wrong! At first, I was in disbelief myself when I saw the results but I also recognized that I needed a change… a new professional look to go with my new professional ‘adult’ status at St. Lawrence College.
So after much debate (months and months) I let my sister chop it off – MY SISTER! To my surprise, I actually liked the cut but it is still going to take some time to get used to. Plus, no more dreadful detangling moments with this short style!
So do I believe that when a lady changes her hair she about to change her life? In my case, maybe. With graduation coming full tilt in just over a month and my new position at the college, maybe it was a good time for a change in hair to match the changes in my life (sorry, thinking out loud)?! Maybe my life is about to remarkably change? One can only hope that these changes are positive.
So today, I am not going to fear the change because change provides opportunities. Change is inevitable. Embrace it and let the adventures begin!
